This is what happens when unfortunate choice of copy and art direction meets bad timing. The first time I saw this Independence Day ad, I honestly thought
mahal meant “expensive” given the recent increase in gas prices and other costs. And it doesn’t help that they highlighted the word “mahal” in the layout.

hmmm... sa aking pagkakaalam sa batas natin na eh bawal ang paglalagay ng kahit anong graphic o sulat sa ibabaw ng ating bandila. kung sino man ang gumawa niyan eh hindi muna tinignan ang ating batas. ang tawag eh "Heraldry Act" yata kung hindi ako nagkakamali.
sa tingin ko sinadya na lakihan yung "P" at "M". "Pangulong Mcapagal" perhaps?
