Watch Me Entertain Myself!

Sacha Guitry once said, "You can pretend to be serious, but you can't pretend to be witty." Oh yes, I'm the great pretender.

A Place Where Nobody Dared To Go

For the longest time I’ve resisted looking for a place of my own, even just a rented space. I’ve enjoyed free lodging, electricity, water, and laundry service for the longest time so it was most logical for me to stay at home. Nor did I feel the need for a fuck-place, a hada-room where I can bring in boys, boys and more boys.

But now I’m beginning to feel the stirrings of having a place to myself. And it’s not because I want privacy—I do have my own room at home, and although I cannot take home pick-ups and SEBs, I can pretty much do whatever I want sans loud moaning, panting and shouting of, “Who’s your daddy?! Who’s your daddy?!

What’s pushing me to get a place of my own is the thought that I want to be able to take care of myself without the fallback support that I get at home. I want to really take care of myself. I’m sure that by doing so, I will learn new things about myself, things that will only surface when I take myself away from my comfort zone.

So mow I’m looking, and I would like to ask my viewers for help. Anyone knows of a studio-type for rent, preferably somewhere near the Fort area? But I can also go as “far” as somewhere in Pasig near C-5, or in Ortigas.

Help, please?

There are cheap apartments in Pasig, we once rented a two bedroom apartment for only 6k :-)

I totally understand the urge! There's something about having your own place even if the place reeks constantly of instant noodles, unwashed dishes, or God forbid, moldy towels.

Making a home for oneself seemed to me a step before something big- like getting married (hah!) or having a family. But of course the EBs were a plus too haha

Btw Mcvie, I'm still doing the layout of the book and its taking forever lalo na classes have begun at kunyari senior year na. i-email ko na lang if ever 80% done so at least you have an idea more or less (yun ay kung interesado ka pa rin :-)

Good luck on the apartment hunting!

@PHOENIX: 6thou?! Naku, when was that? Hahaha! But yeah, I feel it is a step to the next chapters of my life. =)

Yes, I still am very interested in your book. In fact, I wanted to ask you about it, pero I didn't want to sound makulit. I wait eagerly for your email. =)

I guess the reason why you're comfortable staying at home is because people there respect your privacy. Sa akin hindi! Waaah! I'm so looking forward to next year when i get my own condo. Although i wouldn't be able to stay there everyday, at least I will have my own private Idaho chorva.

phoenix's 6K is still possible, but not sure if it will be in the makati or fort area. my hubby and i used to rent a 30 square meter studio at citiland pioneer for 12k sans parking which was an additional 3.5k a month. then we moved to this place called lakeview in taguig (still also near the fort) at 10k but dues included and it was a two bedroom unit. parking was an additional 2k. renting's a good way to start and figure out if you can really make a go at independence.
